Well, I have it on my closet's door and I can shut it w/o problem. However, I tried putting it on my room's door, and it cannot be closed. It depends on the kind of door too.

In my case, no. The gap between my closet door and the molding is too small. The hooks strike the molding and prevent the door from closing. If I want to shut the door, I will need to shave a little from the top of the door.

That's a pretty standard inside door. It fits, and doesn't rattle on mine, but no, it's not snug. It's designed to fit a door up to 1 3/4"

Yes, the the metal clips that go over the top of the door are bendable so that you can adjust them to the thickness of your door.

You can use felt or cork pads (like you may use on feet of chairs or cabinet doors to muffle a slam sound) on the door clamp parts to make rack fit better and stay more secure.

No ! Hooks are too large to hang blooms or mops, but you could put a loop rope thru bloom handle hole than hang it on the hook! That would work great for that purpose!!!! Best of luck!

I just tried and was unable. The top hook is 1 & 1/8" wide at the widest point. Making a loop with a piece of rope, mentioned in another answer, would be a great idea though!

They are in a u shape and neither hook will accomodate a broom hook. Sorry.
